A man tried to force his way into a house in county Armagh by attempting to stab a worker through the letterbox with a knife
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an incident in the Drumgor Heights area of Craigavon yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 27 October.
At around 12.40pm it was reported that a man answered a knock to the door of a house he was working in and was confronted by a male who pointed a suspected firearm at the man and threatened him.
The man forced the door shut in an attempt to stop this male entering the house.
The male attempted to force his way in to the house before attempting to stab the man with a large knife through the letterbox in the door.
The male is described as wearing a blue/grey fleece type hooded top, blue jeans and gloves. He made off on foot and the man was not physically injured as a result of the incident.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in the area later yesterday afternoon and is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
