A Craigavon man accused of hijacking and robbery offences will face Crown Court proceedings.
Craigavon Magistrates’ Court heard that the offences are alleged to have occurred on December 6, of last year, with the 35-year-old accused of unlawfully by force or threat interfered with the control of a Ford Mondeo.
Damien James McMahon, of Pinebank, appeared via videolink from Maghaberry Prison on Friday charged with hijacking, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
The alleged hijacking relates to a Ford Mondeo while the robbery relates to cash belonging to another man.
McMahon made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence barrister David McKeown made no contrary submissions.
District Judge Rosie Watters remanded McMahon in custody to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
