A Craigavon man accused of a litany of offences relating to the importation and supply of Class A drugs has heard he will face Crown Court proceedings.
Adrian Kriss Mullan, of Carnreagh, appeared via videolink from his solicitor’s office for the purposes of a a preliminary enquiry (PE), the legal process during which a case is referred to the higher court, at Craigavon Magistrates’, sitting at Lisburn.
The 35-year-old is charged with importing Class A, producing Class A, possession of Class A with intent to supply, possession of Class A, possession of Class B, being concerned in the supply of Class A and three counts of offering to supply Class A drugs.
As the charges were read, it was heard the related drugs are DMT and cannabis resin, with the offences allegedly being committed between August 19 and December 13, 2018.
At court on Wednesday, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence barrister Conor Lunny made no contrary submissions.
District Judge Rosie Watters released Mullan on his own bail of £500 to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
