A man who is accused of making indecent images of children will face Crown Court proceedings next month.
The 43-year-old appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court for the purposes of a preliminary enquiry (PE), the legal process during which a case is referred to the higher court.
Jonathon Conaghan, of Dunroe Road in Clogher, is charged with 15 counts of making indecent photographs, possessing an indecent photograph and possession of an extreme pornographic image.
As these charges were read, it was heard that all of the offences are alleged to have occurred between December 5, of 2017, and February 22, of 2018.
Appearing in court, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence solicitor Róise Fitzpatrick made no contrary submissions.
Deputy District Judge Chris Holmes was satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer and the defendant was released on his own bail of £500 to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on March 16 for arraignment.
