A Tullygally man has appeared in court accused of being found with a firearm in suspicious circumstances and failing to surrender to police whilst on bail.
His co-accused was connected to separate charges in his absence due to him attending a funeral.
Martin Doran, 24, of Aldervale, appeared charged with possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances and failing to surrender to custody at Craigavon Magistrates’ on Wednesday.
Standing in the dock, the defendant confirmed that he understood the charges he faced.
A constable stated that he believed he could connect Doran to the offences.
Defence solicitor Siun Downey made no questions to the connection.
She outlined that co-accused Dylan Mawhinney, 19, of Clanrolla Park in Moyraverty, who faced charges of possession firearm in public place, namely an airgun, and criminal damage, would not be in attendance.
Ms Downey said: “He will not be in attendance as he has been granted compassionate bail to attend a funeral.”
Doran was connected in his absence by the constable.
Both cases were adjourned by the prosecution until January 15 for an update.
