He was released on his own bail to appear on August 21 for sentencing

Craigavon-Courthouse

A Craigavon man who was found in possession of cannabis, cocaine and diazepam will be sentenced next month.

The district judge ordered a presentence report after hearing that the 24-year-old had relevant previous convictions.

Jamie Downey, 24, of Bay View Park, pleaded guilty to possession of Class A, possession Class B and possession of Class C drugs at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

It was heard the detections all occurred on December 6, and were in relation to cannabis, cocaine and diazepam.

Prosecution informed the court that the defendant had a relevant record.

Following this, District Judge Bernie Kelly commented that a presentence report would be required.

Downey was released on his own bail to appear on August 21 for sentencing.
