A man who was caught with a class C drugs whilst on licence for a similar offence has been sentenced to two months in prison.
Court heard the drugs were found on the 26-year-old after police located on foot a missing person report.
Michael Redmond Doran, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession of class C at Craigavon Magistrates’, via videolink from Maghaberry.
It was heard that on May 23, at around 5am, police found the defendant, who had been reported as missing, on Old Rectory Park, Portadown.
Doran was arrested as he was in breach of his bail, during a search police located four Pregabillin tablets on his person.
District Judge Bernie Kelly commented: “This is in breach of his licence from the Crown Court for exactly the same offence”.
She added: “This is so serious given that this was a breach of a licensing period, a breach of bail and his previous record”.
Doran was sentenced to two months in prison for the offence.
