A man who committed an assault at a Co Armagh hospital must wait until later this month to learn his fate.
Upon hearing the opening facts in the case, the judge ordered that a report would be needed before she could sentence the 57-year-old.
Ezzard Charles Boyd, of Castle Gardens, Dungannon pleaded guilty to common assault at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
It was heard that on April 7, at around 5,30am, police were tasked to Craigavon Area Hospital regarding an alleged assault.
When officers arrived, the defendant was in the back of an ambulance abusing staff and refusing to leave.
District Judge Bernie Kelly stopped the reading of the facts stating: “That’s probably all I need to know to warrant a pre-sentence report.
“If it was committed in the presence of members of the medical service, I need a report”.
The case was put back to May 29 when Boyd will be sentenced.
