
A man has suffered “life-changing” injuries as a result of a scrambler collision in Craigavon on Sunday.
The rider – a man aged in his 20s – crashed the motorcycle in the Enniskeen area at around 4pm on Sunday, June 15.
There were no other vehicles involved.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a scrambler in Craigavon.
“A report was received at approximately 4pm on Sunday, June 15 that a man, aged in his 20s, had been injured in the Enniskeen area.
“Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from other emergency services – where a man was located with serious leg injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment to his injuries that are believed to be life-changing.
“The area which was closed for a time to allow for enquiries has now fully reopened. Our investigation is underway to determine what happened, and we are especially keen to hear from anyone who has footage of the vehicle in the area prior to, or at the time of the collision.
“Anyone with information, or who has dash-cam, mobile or other footage can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 936 15/06/25.”
It is the second serious scrambler-related incident in recent days.
On Friday morning, another male was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Lurgan following a serious single-vehicle collision involving a scrambler.
His injuries were, at the time, described as serious.
