A major investment in sports facilities is being planned next to a County Armagh primary school.
The provision of a new 3G pitch would serve as a replacement for the current cinder playing field adjacent to Tullygally Primary School in Craigavon.
Proposals have been drawn up and are currently with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.
The plans – which also include a new toilet block and storage facilities – centre on the playing field at Meadowbrook Road.
The proposals also include the provision of a total of eight 15 metre high floodlights, as well as two team shelters and a fence-mounted digital scoreboard.
The playing field would be enclosed within a perimeter fence.
The application – in the name of Train 2B Smart Ltd – will now be advertised shortly.
