Strut into the new season in style with Rushmere Shopping Centre’s ‘sensational’ Autumn Winter Fashion Show!
Experience the latest styles on the catwalk, accompanied by live music from the incredibly talented ‘ABBA Sensations’ tribute band, along with makeup demos from BPerfect Cosmetics, and performances from local dance groups.
In what’s sure to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, the Rushmere Autumn Winter Fashion Show is totally free, with no tickets required!
All you have to do is head down to Rushmere Shopping Centre on Saturday, September 30 between the hours of 11am and 5pm.
With a full action-packed itinerary, there’s sure to be something for all the family, including a range of fantastic giveaways of four £100 Rushmere gift vouchers, including one for the best-dressed customer!
There are 35 stores participating in the event, with each bringing their own unique flavour to what promises to be an unforgettable afternoon.
Compered by the fabulous Aislinn Higgins, the programme gets underway on the main square in the mall just outside Iceland, kicking off at 11am with an hour-long performance by the highly sought after ABBA Sensations group, one of the UK’s premier ABBA tribute bands.
From then on in, it’s all steam ahead until 5pm, with local performers, makeup demonstrations and of course the main fashion show itself, which runs from 12:15pm to 1:15pm and then from 3:30pm to 5pm!
Martin Walsh, Rushmere Centre Manager, says the event is shaping up to be a “really packed” afternoon.
“It’s going to be a really good day with a good buzz about it,” he said. “We want to bring a well produced first class fashion experience to our customers free of charge. They can stop by and stay for ten minutes or they can stay for the entire afternoon.”
Martin explains that the event is all about showcasing the offering of Rushmere’s retailers, while giving customers ideas for their winter wardrobes.
He said: “The weather has turned quite cool in the last week and already stores are reporting an increase in sales of coats, jumpers, gloves and scarves. It’s very much in people’s heads.
“The products that we’re going to be displaying are all for sale with our retailers, so we just want to help them showcase their autumn winter collections in the best possible light by delivering this show in the mall.
“We’re also providing a lot of entertainment value with the free performances by ABBA Sensations!”

Martin adds that the event is unashamedly local, with Lurgan girl Aislinn Higgins compering alongside the performances by local dance groups and models.
“The young people in the dance troops are all rehearsing hard and taking it very seriously. It provides a huge opportunity for them to perform in front of a good audience.
“We have a lot of talent on our doorstep here and I think it’s incumbent on us to provide the opportunity for them to showcase their talents and ability in their local shopping centre!”
Added Martin: “It’s a real full day’s entertainment for everybody. Even if fashion isn’t your bag we have entertainment from ABBA Sensations and £400 worth of voucher giveaways.
“Somebody’s going to get a pleasant surprise that afternoon! And they’re redeemable in every single one of our stores.”
Martin concluded: “We very much embrace the local aspect of it. Being in the centre of Craigavon, we like to use our space in a civic sense and we have been putting on free entertainment in the mall every weekend this year.
“Value is very key for us. People pay money to go and see ABBA Sensations but we will have them on the day free of charge. We want to provide good entertainment to the local community.”
