A man stole a pair of Palm Angels sandals worth £250 from TK Maxx at Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon.
Gavril Cirpaciu (32), of Killycomain Road, Portadown, committed theft on July 1 this year.
Craigavon Magistrates’ Court heard he is originally from Romania.
A defence solicitor said it was a “spontaneous act”.
The defendant, who had a record, was given a five months jail term, suspended for one year.
