Vile fake news scam reports multiple teen fatalities in County Armagh crash

Vile scam artists are once again attempting to entrap local people with an internet hoax claiming young people have been killed in an overnight crash in County Armagh.

The fake news story link is claiming that four teenagers have died after “car run reds light” in Craigavon.

The link shows a picture of an extensively damaged car crashed into the rear of a lorry and has today’s date – April 14 – attached to it.

It claims it has been produced by ‘News Today’ and the domain name goinsurance.pw.

The story is of course complete and utter rubbish and distasteful and distressing in the extreme.

In fact, just four days ago, the same story was being carried in the United States – in Kentucky to be precise – with the same picture and same claims.

The only thing that changes is the location to draw in the viewer.

And once you click on the link untold damage can be done. This particular link will attempt to compromise your Facebook account and install malicious software on your computer, phone or tablet device.

The link may take you to any number of pop-ups.

The bottom line is DO NOT let curiosity get the better of you.

There is no truth in it but once again shows the depths some sick individuals will use to access your personal details.
