Three adults have lost their lives and a woman and four children injured in an horrific Boxing Day road collision in County Tyrone.
The collision happened shortly before 3.30pm today (Monday).
Emergency services raced to the scene on the A29, on the main road between Dungannon and Cookstown.
It is understood two vehicles were involved.
Two of those who died were travelling in a vehicle with four children, it has been reported by RTE.
The third person who died was in the other vehicle.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service dispatched two rapid response crews to the scene. It came after an emergency call alerting medics and police.
The four children have been taken to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. A woman was also taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
Forensics are at the scene of the collision tonight and the road remains closed and is likely to be for some considerable time as investigations to ascertain exactly what happened get underway.
