Two teenagers were arrested after fireworks were set off outside a supermarket in Dungannon over the weekend.
Officers were called to reports that fireworks were thrown outside the Tesco store in the area.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police made two arrests after fireworks were thrown in the vicinity of a supermarket close to the Lines in Dungannon on Saturday, September 23. It was reported that fireworks were thrown at staff and customers by a number of teenagers at around 10pm.
“An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted GBH with intent, criminal damage, possessing fireworks without a licence and common assault. During follow up enquiries a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing fireworks without a licence, possession of a blade or point in a public place and common assault.
“Both were released on bail following interview to allow for further police enquiries.”
It comes as police in the Armagh district say they are responding to increasing calls over illegal firework use.
It comes in a weekend where night duty officers from across the ABC borough dealt with locating two missing people, six road traffic collisions, eight concern for safety calls, two collapsed people who needed assisted to hospital.
Police also attended seven domestic related calls, and six reported assaults.
