Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary in the Lurgan area last night, Sunday, 28 September.
Commenting on the incident Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “At approximately 10.00pm four unknown masked men entered a house in the Lurgan Tarry area. A male occupant in the house was assaulted by these males .
“He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
“I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has information to contact Detectives in Lurgan on the non emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
There were two females and one male in the house at the time of this assault.
Meanwhile, Police in Armagh are appealing for information after a report of criminal damage at residential premises at the Lisnally Villas area.
Constable Acton said: “Sometime between 10pm on Saturday 27th September and 8:15am on Sunday 28th September, it was reported that two windows were broken at a house in the area. The main living room window and a front bedroom window were broken during the incident. The estimated cost of the damage is believed to be around £200. Enquiries are continuing.
