The GAA are set to investigate the violent scenes that erupted before throw-in in Sunday’s Ulster Championship match between Armagh and Cavan at the Athletic Grounds.
Just as the teams were lining up for the traditional band parade a full-scale fracas, which involved most players from both teams, erupted.
The GAA are currently awaiting video evidence to proceed with the matter.
It is believed the row started after Cavan objected to the Armagh players standing behind the Cavan flag, however, Armagh insist that being the home team they were entitled to line up on the outside.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Paul Grimley, said his team did not cross the line.
“From what I saw, there were 30 players involved. Are they going to suspend them all?,” he said.
Armagh won the game 1-12 to 0-09, avenging last year’s defeat at the same stage. Caolan Rafferty’s second half goal proved decisive.
Armagh will now play the winners of Tyrone are current Ulster champions Monaghan on June 28. The game is to be one of the first GAA football game to be broadcast on Sky Sports.
