Contractors are adding the finishing touches to a new state-of-the-art play park at Carnagh Forest.
It’s all part of a major funding boost for the forest following the installation of walking trails and improved facilities in the area.
The play park is expected to be completed next week and opened before Christmas.
SDLP councillor Thomas O’Hanlon says the place will be a fantastic resource for families.
“Things are really starting to take shape,” he said.
“The area reflects the natural surroundings with the Squirrels Drey, Maze, Basket Swing, in Ground Trampoline and animal carvings.
“The place looks fantastic and will be a great resource for families.
“Please respect that works aren’t quite finished, don’t try and access the equipment yet, it’ll be open soon enough.”
