A major public realm scheme is being planned in a rural Co Armagh village.
Darkley will undergo a major transformation when the scheme – drawn up by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council – gets the nod.
The works are estimated by Construction Information Services to cost in the region of £100,000.
According to the planning application from ABC Council to ABC Council, the works will centre on lands “to the north of and directly adjacent to the junction of Darkley Road and Upper Darkley Road”.
The scheme will involve new paving, decorative gravel, bark surface, soft landscaping and new street furniture.
The application will be publicly advertised next week.
