Danny Kennedy MLA has offered his profound sympathy to the family of Mrs Ruby Nesbitt, who was tragically killed in a road traffic accident in Keady on Friday.
Mr Kennedy said the entire community was saddened at the untimely passing of a very well respected lady in the Keady and Drumhillery area.
Mr Kennedy also extended the sympathy of the Ulster Unionist Party to the Nesbitt family, and recalled that Mrs Nesbitt had been an active member of the UUP in the Crossmore area for many years.
In a personal tribute he said: “Mrs Nesbitt was a lovely lady who always had a word of encouragement to offer those of us in public life. Whilst in recent times she had been unable to attend Branch meetings, Ruby Nesbitt remained a stalwart Ulster Unionist and her passing will be deeply felt by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her.”
Mr Kennedy concluded: “I trust the family and close friends of Mrs Nesbitt will draw comfort from the expressions of genuine sorrow which have been reflected by the entire community since her tragic passing last week.”
