
Convergence at Lurgan Castle is set for Saturday August, 23, taking full advantage of the long Bank Holiday weekend and to let festival goers see the summer out with a bang!
Festival director Patricia Killoran said: “We want Convergence to be a festival for everyone and that’s reflected in the band choices we’ve made. We want to bring people of all ages together for a celebration of life, summer, great music and everything that goes with that. It’s all about fun, music and having a great time.”
She continues: “Being able to bring a band like The Magic Numbers to Lurgan fresh from playing Glastonbury is a dream come true and we’ve got an amazing venue that is so easy for people to get to and more importantly, get home from when the night’s over.”
Set in the grounds of Lurgan Castle, Convergence is set to see six bands and a DJ perform live over eight hours.
Who is playing at Convergence at Lurgan Castle 2025?
The Magic Numbers will be headlining the festival as part of their ‘On the Road’ 20th Anniversary Tour playing hits including Forever Lost, Love Like You and Love’s a Game.
Other names taking to the two stages include Dead Goat who will be performing songs from their new album, Aqua Tofana, The Zach Mac Band featuring Nick Hawryliw from the Red-Hot Chilli Pipers, Spade Town, Finn and DJ Greg McCann.
Festival director Patricia Killoran said that when selecting acts, “the aim was to make this an event for everyone, so we wanted to bring together as many different types of musicians as possible.”
She continued: “The Magic Numbers are a band I’ve loved for years, so being able to get them to play outside one of the larger cities has been a dream come true.”
What time does Convergence start and end?
The gates at Lurgan Castle will be open from 3:00pm (15:00) on Saturday, 23rd August and the last act will finish at 23:00. The Magic Numbers will be on stage from 8:30pm (20:30) to 10:30pm (22:30).
How do I get to Convergence by public transport?
Lurgan train station is a short 10-minute walk from the festival with trains arriving from Bangor, Belfast, Lisburn, Newry and Portadown every 30 minutes. There are also multiple carparks just minutes from the main gate.
Will there be alcohol?
Yes. There will be multiple bars located throughout the festival serving alcohol, frozen cocktails and soft drinks. For your convenience, there will be a choice of card and cash only bars.
Will there be food?
Yes. There will be a range of food vendors with everything from munchies to burgers.
Are there age restrictions for Convergence?
Under 14s are welcome to all performances but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Soft drinks are available for sale at the festival.
