A man has been arrested following reports he was seen carrying a gun in Lurgan earlier today (Friday).
Police have this evening confirmed they arrested a 27-year-old man.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We received a report of a man armed with a firearm in the Portadown Road area of Lurgan at around 3.50pm this afternoon.
“Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm or imitation firearm in suspicious circumstances and two counts of possession of Class C controlled drugs.
“An imitation firearm was recovered along with a quantity of suspected Class C drugs.
“The man is currently in police custody assisting officers with their inquiries.”
