The prosecution file against the man accused of murdering Natalie McNally is “more or less ready”, a court has heard.
Stephen McCullagh, from Woodland Gardens in Lisburn, is accused of the murder of the 32-year-old on December 18, last year.
Natalie was stabbed in her home in the Silverwood Green area of Lurgan.
Thirty-three-year-old McCullagh did not appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday) for the brief hearing, during which the Public Prosecution Service outlined they were hoping to serve the file by December 1.
A preliminary enquiry (PE) – the legal process during which a case is referred to the Crown Court – had previously been scheduled for this date.
Despite this, a prosecuting lawyer said this date was unrealistic due to the size of the investigation.
District Judge Peter Magill adjourned the case for two weeks to December 1 for mention, with it being suggested that the PE be rescheduled at that stage.
