A Lurgan man with a “serious alcohol problem” must wait until later this month to learn his fate.
After reading the defendant’s record the district judge ordered a pre-sentence report commenting: “Twenty-eight and an alcoholic – that takes some doing.”
Conal Vincent McKee, of Forest Glade, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Defence solicitor Siun Downey commented that this was a case which may require a pre-sentence report.
Upon seeing McKee’s record, District Judge Bernie Kelly stated: “Oh dear me, he has a serious alcohol problem. Twenty-eight and an alcoholic – that takes some doing.”
The case was adjourned until July 31 when McKee must appear for sentencing after the preparation of a report.
