A man in a white van has approached a young girl and asked her to get in.
Police are investigating the report of a suspicious man in the Waring Street area of Lurgan, county Armagh this morning.
It was reported at approximately 8.15am on Friday 11 November, a male described as having grey hair and a beard, aged in his 50s/60s pulled up in the Waring Street area in what was believed to be a white van or car with no windows in the back and asked a young girl to get into his vehicle.
Constable Adams said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or have any information regarding this incident to contact police in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 394 on 11/11/16.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
