A Lurgan man with 145 previous convictions who used a woman’s stolen bank card to buy items from a filling station and pay a taxi firm claimed he was given the card at a house party.
Jamie Geddis, of ‘unknown age’ according to his charge sheet, has an address listed as Ailsbury Park.
He admitted three charges of fraud by false representation in relation to January 14 last year.
He appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court via video link from prison on February 28.
A prosecutor said a woman’s purse including bank cards were stolen from her car.
Contactless payments were made to get £35 of food from a filling station in Portadown and two payments of £10 and £20 to a taxi firm.
A defence lawyer told the court the defendant said he had been given the card at a house party and didn’t know it was stolen.
The defendant was jailed for two months.
