A Lurgan man who is accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis has heard that he will face Crown Court proceedings.
Kevin Conway, 22, of Deeny Drive, appeared charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug at Craigavon Magistrates’, sitting at Lisburn, on Friday.
As the charges were read out, it was outlined that all of the alleged offences occurred between March 23 and April 22, 2019, with the substances in question being cocaine and cannabis.
Standing in the dock, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.
Defence barrister Chris Logue made no contrary submissions.
District Judge Mark McGarrity was satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer and released Conway on continuing bail to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
