Police have dismissed concerns that a pipe bomb was responsible for a loud bang which reverberated around Lurgan on Sunday night.
However, police are investigating the incident which happened in the Taghnevan area shortly after 9pm.
A PSNI spokesperson stated: “Police are investigating after damage was caused to the window of a property in the Dingwell Park area.
“At around 9.25pm, it was reported that a loud bang was heard in the area and the bathroom window smashed. Police attended and it is believed that the damage was caused by a firework.
“Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, and witnessed any suspicious activity, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1863 of 30/01/22.

Sinn Fein councillor, Liam Mackle, commented: “Whatever the cause of the blast, it was a reckless attack on a property with people inside. Those who carried out this attack did so without any regard to the safety of the entire community.
“I would appeal for anyone with information to bring it to the attention of the police.
“I will be meeting police to discuss the serious concerns of local residents about the blast and the activities of some individuals in the area.
“Those responsible need to end their reckless attacks and leave this community in peace.”
SDLP councillor Ciaran Toman commented: “I have spoken to PSNI officers and I have been informed that the blast was a crude pipe bomb that went off on Sunday evening in Taghnevan.
“Thankfully nobody was hurt and the investigation should be cleared up soon.
“Leaving viable explosive devices in a residential area is a completely reckless act and shows no regard for the lives of people in this area.
“This has obviously caused significant disruption for local people who just want to get on with their lives. The last thing anyone wants is the disruption that these alerts cause.”
