A Co. Armagh bereavement charity is set to launch a new initiative aimed at providing safe spaces for those who have lost a young child.
The Little Forget Me Nots Trust, which is based in Lurgan, was set up Louise Taylor who lost her firstborn son Ruben mid-way through her pregnancy, with the aim of the charity being to support parents grieving the loss of a child.
In order to expand their work and help as many people as possible, the charity are set to launch new ‘Just Be Cafes’ at three locations; The Glass Room in Lurgan; the Support 2gGether office in Omagh; and at the Holywell Trust building in Derry/Londonderry.
These monthly gatherings will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, starting from March 5.
Just Be Cafes offer a supportive and nurturing environment for bereaved parents to connect, share, and find solace. Whether it’s through engaging in crafting activities, heartfelt conversations, or simply being present in the moment, participants will have the opportunity to tailor their experience to their individual needs.
Under the guidance of Nikcollette McPeake, who brings warmth and expertise to every session, the trust aim to create a space where individuals can feel heard, valued, and supported on their journey of healing.
