A woman who stole a bank card from a fellow employee to purchase goods will be sentenced next month.
Court heard that the 45-year-old also damaged a phone belonging to the same colleague on the same date.
Magdalena Kurowska, of Charles Baron Mews in Lurgan, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft, criminal damage and two counts of fraud by false representation at Craigavon Magistrates’, sitting at Lisburn, on Wednesday via videolink from her solicitor’s office.
As the charges were read, it was heard that all of the offences occurred on May 25 of this year.
The theft charges relate to a bottle of alcohol to the value of £6.99 from SuperValu and a debit card belonging to a named woman, whilst the criminal damage was to a mobile phone owned by the same female.
On the same date, Kurowska dishonestly used the stolen bank card to purchase items at Moutrays Costcutter and Morrows SuperValu, Lurgan.
Defence barrister Joel Lindsay stated: “These are breach of trust matters which may require a report. The mobile which she damaged belonged to a fellow employee as did the bank card which she used to purchase items.”
District Judge Rosie Watters directed that a pre-sentence report be prepared and adjourned the case until September 9 for disposal.
