Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s planners are currently considering an application from Markethill Methodist Church to extend the Church.
Lodged by agent D A Architects Ltd on behalf of applicant, Mrs Aubrene Willis, the application will, if approved, see an extension to the village’s Methodist church to form a new entrance lobby, accessible w/c, kitchen, meeting room and associated storage.
Details on the planning application note the 0.03 hectare site at Keady Street is home to the existing Methodist Church and modular building.
With regards to floorspace, the application form notes there is an existing floorspace of 82m2. The extension will add a further 67m2 providing for 149m2 of floor space.
Once completed, the work, if approved, is not anticipated to add to vehicle or visitor numbers attending the site.
Council’s planners received the application on Thursday, March 11, and it was validated on Tuesday, April 27.
The application will be advertised until Friday, June 11.
