Markethill athlete Cyril Walker has helped Team Ireland to their first medals of the Special Olympics World Winter Games.
At the event in Austria, the 46-year-old – a member of the Skiability Special Olympics Club – took bronze in the AS Alpine Novice Giant Slalom.
Dublin teenager Laoise Kenny, from Dublin, took fourth place.
All three Intermediate skiers for Team Ireland also took medals.
Thirteen-year-old Caolan McConville, from Aghagallon in Co Armagh, and Co Wicklow’s Lorraine Whelan (36), both secured silver, while there was a bronze for 16-year-0ld Co Down athlete Sean McCartan.
