Four women were taken to hospital following a serious two-vehicle collision near Markethill this morning (Saturday).
The collision, involving a grey Citroen Picasso and a silver-coloured Hyundai occurred at around 11.20am.
Sergeant Lyons said: “Police responded to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Gosford Road, south of Markethill today (Saturday, 5th September).
“Emergency services, including police, attended the scene and the female driver of the Citroen and three female passengers were taken to hospital as a precaution.
“The Gosford Road, between Ballydogherty Road and Belmont Road, was closed for a time as officers conducted their enquiries, but it has since re-opened.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
The Southern Trust confirmed all four women were transported to Craigavon Area Hospital and were described as being in “stable” condition.
