The acquisition of a Belgian firm will see new jobs coming to Markethill.
Ten new jobs will be created by Unicorn Mouldings, a leading flooring firm in Northern Ireland.
The company, which was founded 14 years ago, specialises in making domestic, commercial and industrial flooring and is regarded as a market leader.
Unicorn Mouldings specialises in the supply of PVC interlocking flooring solutions across the UK.
Its office headquarters are located in Lisburn, but a manufacturing facility operates out of Markethill.
It producres the loose lay Flexi-tile™ interlocking floor tile system which is distributed throughout the UK, Europe and around the world.
The new jobs will be split between Markethill and Lisburn and will be positions relating to both customer service and manufacturing.
They are being created after Unicorn Mouldings recent acquisition of Belgian company Ecoloc Flooring, with the manufacturing being transferred to Northern Ireland from a production plant in Spain.
Eight of the posts will be based in Markethill and two in Lisburn.
Unicorn Mouldings MD Roger Pannell said the acquisition strengthened Unicorn Mouldings distribution network and affirmed its position as Europe’s largest manufacturer of PVC interlocking floor tiles.
