A COUNTY Armagh firm has signalled fresh confidence in the local construction industry with the opening of a new £500,000 plant and the creation of five jobs.
Norman Emerson Group, which specialises in the supply of products and services within the construction and landscaping sectors, has also carried out major refurbishment of its stone showroom just outside the town.
The group imports stone products from all over the world, as well as sourcing sand from Lough Neagh for use in sports pitches, golf courses and equestrian centres.
Big contracts throughout Ireland have included Croke Park and the Nick Faldo course at the Lough Erne Golf centre in Enniskillen.
The new plant, which is located at the group’s headquarters at Ardmore on the shores of Lough Neagh, has the capability to supply more than 100 cubic metres of concrete an hour.
