The Armagh Road in Newry has re-opened following a serious two-vehicle collision on Monday evening.
The crash happened between Jockeys Brea and Church Road with police forced to close the road for a number of hours while crash scene investigators carried out their analysis.
The road was re-opened in the early hours of this morning.
The Air Ambulance and fire crews were promptly on the scene around 7pm.
The number of casualties remains and the severity of any injuries remains unknown at this stage.
Police in Newtownhamilton have this morning appealed for information.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We are appealing for any witnesses in the area of the Armagh Road, Newry at approx 6.45pm that may have observed a two vehicle road traffic collision.
“Do you have any dash cam footage of the incident or of a dark coloured Seat Leon, GXZ4348 which was travelling from the Armagh direction towards Newry.”
