Largest fuel laundering waste dump in over a year on Armagh border

Eleven cubes of the waste were discovered this morning

A large quantity of fuel laundering waste was found dumped on the Louth/Armagh border earlier this morning (Friday).

Eleven large plastic cubes of the toxic waste was discovered at Carrickarnon close to Jonesborough on the Armagh/Louth border.

The containers were carrying approximately 11,000 litres of waste.

According to reports, there were no leakage from the containers with Louth County Council tasked with cleaning the mess up.

They have contacted a contractor who will remove and clear the dump site safely.

This is the largest discovery of fuel waste in County Louth since April 2016 and the 20th dumping in this year.
