Detectives from the PSNI’s Economic Crime Unit have charged a man with a number of alleged offences after an investigation into an allegation of fraud at the USPCA.
The 52-year-old is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court next Wednesday, October 18.
He has been charged with two counts of fraud by abuse of position, conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, possessing criminal property and concealing criminal property.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in connection with a PSNI investigation into an allegation of fraud at the USPCA after a complaint made in April.
A 52-year-old woman arrested at the same time has been released pending a report to the PPS.
