Police investigating reports that shots were fired at a house in Newry earlier this week have arrested two men.
The incident happened in the Damolly Village area of the city at around 9.15pm on Monday, March 16, when two shots were reported to have been fired through the windows of a property.
Residents who were in the house at the time were not physically injured but were left badly shaken.
As part of the ongoing investigation, officers from the Armed Response Unit brought a vehicle to a controlled stop on High Street in Portadown on Saturday, March 21.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.
They have since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to continue.
Detectives have previously appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Damolly Village area around the time of the incident – or who may have CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage – to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1817 16/03/26.
