The Co. Armagh village of Bessbrook has been plunged into sadness as news broke of the passing of young father-of-five Aaron McAllister in a motorcycle collision in Co. Louth.
Aaron, who was 29-years-old and from O’Donoghue Park in the village, passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon, November 13.
News came in on Sunday from the Gardaí of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Co. Louth, at around 3:35pm, between a motorcycle and a tractor.
The motorcyclist – Aaron McAllister – lost his life in the incident, whilst the tractor driver was uninjured.
Aaron is survived by his loving children, Amelia-Rose, Erika, Eóin, Evaleigh and Shaea and his beloved partner Shannon.
He was also was the dearly loved son of Loretto and Brian, a brother to James, Eileen, Declan, Kerry, Brian and the late Conrad, and also brother-in-law to Mark and Sophie and a cherished uncle and nephew.
Tributes to Aaron poured in on social media, as news of his passing was announced.
Aaron’s aunt Carmel wrote: “R.I.P My beautiful Nephew. Taken far to soon from us.. Its light a big bad dream.. Love an miss you loads Auntie Carmel & Sammy xx.”
Another person said: “Rest in peace aarony thoughts are with your whole family at this sad time.”
A third said: “So Sad, Still can’t believe it!! Thinking of Shannon, his kids, his family & all his friends at this very hard time. Rest Easy up there Aarony.”
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R173 at Drumullagh, between 3:30pm and 4pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
