A substantial amount of jewellery has been stolen from a house in the Newry area.
The burglary took place in the Dernaroy Road area of Killeavy on Wednesday, June 21.
Police said it was reported that a property had been broken into some time between 9am and 3.30pm, with entry gained by forcing the front door.
“The house had been ransacked and a substantial amount of jewellery, along with two jewellery boxes had been stolen,” a spokesperson said.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place or who may have noticed anything suspicious or have captured CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1407 21/06/23.”
