Police are appealing for information following a report of burglary at residential premises at the Dromore Street area of Rathfriland on Saturday, December 9.
Shortly after 7:20pm and shortly before 7:30pm, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a property in the area.
It is believed that a male occupant inside the house forced an unknown male armed with a crowbar out of the property and at this stage, nothing is believed to have been taken.
The male, described as being 5”10 in height and wearing dark coloured clothing, made off on foot following the incident.
The investigation is underway and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or noticed any suspicious activity or who may have captured dashcam or mobile footage to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1481 09/12/23.
