Three people have appeared in court in connection with the discovery of £11,000 worth of cannabis in a property in Newry earlier this year.
A constable said that all the defendants had been arrested after 32 cannabis plants were found at an address on Priory Crescent on February 16.
Patrycja Szajnoga, 28, of High Street, Newry, appeared charged with cultivating cannabis at the city’s Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Malgorzata Jasinska, 23, also of High Street, faced a single count of possession of Class B and Tomasz Strzelecki, 26, of Park View, appeared charged with two counts of possession of class B and possessing criminal property.
A fourth co-accused, Adrian Kurakowski, 27, was connected to the charges in his absence as he is currently in Maghaberry.
He faces charges of cultivating cannabis, two counts of possession of Class B, possession of Class B with intent to supply, being concerned in the supple of Class B, three counts of possession of Class A, possessing criminal property, possessing a false identity document and possession of Class A with intent to supply.
An officer told court that all four defendants were arrested following a planned search of an address on Priory Crescent in Newry on February 16.
She revealed that during this 32 cannabis plants, yielding a street value of around £11,000, were found in an upstairs bedroom.
The three defendants who appeared in court were released on their own bail of £250 to return on November 27 for an update on the case.
Kurakowski is to appear via videolink on November 6 to have the charges put to him.
