There have been nine further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland, with eight of these occurring in the last 24 hours.
One of these deaths occured in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough.
According to the official dashboard, there were a further 2,397 positive cases – up 434 – reported in the last 24 hours with 359 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon. There were 241 in Newry, Mourne and Down while Mid-Ulster District recorded 194. Belfast had 415 cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 6,459 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 388 – up nine – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 47 –an increase of one – of whom are in an intensive care unit.
There are 90 – six more – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 78 – up four – of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are ten patients in Daisy Hill and one at St Lukes.
There are currently 12 ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
Hospital occupancy currently stands at 101% of capacity.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,287.
The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 307 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 175 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 212 deaths.
