A total of 63 people have now died in Northern Ireland from Covid-19, with seven more dying in the past 24 hours.
The Public Health Agency (PHA) released the latest sobering statistics on Sunday afternoon.
The figures are accurate as of 9.41am.
There are currently 1,089 positive cases, a rise of 91 since Saturday – 452 tests were carried out yesterday.
In Northern Ireland, 8,486 people have been tested for coronavirus. Testing of healthcare staff began at the SSE Arena in Belfast on Saturday (main image).
The drive-through facility has been set up in the arena’s car park, less than a week after similar testing centres opened in England.
Earlier on Sunday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock warned of further restrictions if the public continued to flaunt lockdown rules.
The UK’s second weekend in lockdown is predicted to be the warmest in six months.
Speaking to Sophy Ridge On Sunday, Mr Hancock, said: “Sunbathing is against the rules that have been set out for important public health reasons.”
He warned: “You are putting others’ lives at risk and you are putting yourself in harm’s way.”
