There have been a further two Covid-19 deaths in Northern Ireland in the past 24 hours, according to the Department of Health.

It brings the total number of fatalities to 518.

The latest figures from the Department show a further 16 confirmed positive cases, bringing that total to 4,679.

Meanwhile, the Executive is set to announce further changes to the lockdown this afternoon.

The last significant extension happened three weeks ago, with the latest three week period up today.

The laws initially took effect on March 28, and have been re-assessed every three weeks.

Restrictions in Northern Ireland are being slowly eased through the five-step plan, of which we are currently on step one, however, family members from other households are still prohibited from meeting indoors.
