Condemnation has followed the burning of a car in the centre of Portadown.
The incident happened during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The grey Volvo car was destroyed in the incident, which happened close to the Magowan Buildings shopping complex in the town.
Police said they had received a report of the vehicle on fire just before 4.30am on Sunday.
By that stage it was well alight.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service were called and fire crews raced to the scene. The blaze was extinguished but the car was gutted in the incident.
The police are appealing for witnesses – or anyone with information on the incident – to come forward.
Sergeant Campbell said: “Shortly after 4.25am, it was reported that a grey Volvo car was well alight in the area.
“The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service dealt with the incident and extinguished the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.”
If anyone can help in any way they are asked to contact the police in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 332 of the 12/08/18.
Alternatively, information can also be passed to the police anonymously using the Crimestoppers charity number, 0800 555 111.
Sinn Fein Deputy Lord Mayor Paul Duffy condemned those responsible for the reckless act.
He said there can be no reason to justify burning the car, particularly in the town centre.
