Police found a man waiting on his order at McDonalds in Portadown had been driving while over the limit.
Twenty-one-year-old Adam James King, of Ardowen in Craigavon, was banned from driving for a year as a result.
The defendant pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in his breath when he appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on June 23, when police were called to the McDonalds on Meadow Lane in Portadown after receiving a report of a suspected drink driver.
Officers arrived to see a Volkswagen Bora parked in the waiting bay of the restaurant with its lights on and engine running.
Police approached, noting the defendant was slow to respond and smelled strongly on alcohol.
King failed a preliminary breath test and a second carried out at Lurgan Custody Suite gave a reading of 82mgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath.
The defendant, who represented himself in court, said nothing in response.
District Judge Bernie Kelly banned King from driving for 12 months and ordered him to pay a fine of £250, along with the £15 offender’s levy.
