Police in Craigavon took to social media to slam the scourge of drugs in our communities following the arrest of a man suspected of being a dealer.
Yesterday a 33-year-old man arrested in Portadown and subsequently charged on suspicion of possessing criminal property, possession of a class B controlled drug and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 15.
And last night, PSNI Craigavon posted the photo (main image) of the cash seized during the raid earlier that day.
They said: “Drug dealers don’t do anything to support society and bring only misery to their own communities.
“Today Reactive and Organised Crime and ABC District Support Team went some way to balancing the books by taking away a supply of cannabis and the cash flow of one suspect.
“With your support we will always work hard to stop these people.”
Earlier, Detective Inspector Keith Gawley, said: “We are delighted to have removed these drugs and cash totalling approximately £10,000 from circulation.
“This is yet another example of the PSNI’s commitment to tackling the issue of drugs in our society.
“This issue is a priority for police and we are determined to continue to combat illegal drug supply and use. To do this, we also need the public to work with us and provide any information they may have.
