Family of missing Portadown man issue urgent appeal as they end eleventh day of searches

Andrew's family have appealed for experienced boat and jet ski owners and operators and divers to come forward to assist with the search

The family of a Portadown man now missing for 11 days have issued an urgent appeal to the public to support their search.

Andrew Robinson – aged in his 50s – was last seen at around 1.10am on Saturday November 15, in the Portadown area.

His vehicle was later found near the River Bann, prompting a large-scale search effort.

A larges scale search effort has been conducted in the days that have followed with police officers, Coastguard teams, boat crews and drone units engaged to probe along the river and surrounding areas. Despite these efforts, Andrew has not yet been located.

Now approaching the end of their eleventh day of searching, Andrew’s family have appealed for experienced boat / jet ski owners and divers to come forward to assist with the search.

They said: “The next couple of days are crucial and we need as many helpers as possible to get on board with the search from Portadown right out to Lough Neagh.

“If you are an experienced boat or jet ski owner or indeed a diver PLEASE if you have any free time today (November 25), tomorrow or through the remainder of the week please reach out to the family as they are desperate to bring Andrew home.”

Councillor Kyle Moutray has provided his contact number here for anyone who wishes to help. He will then put volunteers in touch with the family.
